Dr. Michael Lewis MD, CCFP (COE)
Dr. Michael Lewis has a particular interest and knowledge in machine learning and data science and its application to healthcare and related fields. This includes predictive analytics using sophisticated algorithmic techniques. He has lectured on AI and machine learning in medicine.
He is a graduate of Brown University, Magna Cum Laude, and a graduate of University of Toronto Medical School and Residency where he served as Chief Resident. He has a Special Added Competency in Care of the Elderly.
He is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. He has acted as a Medical Consultant for the development of evidence-based medical educational tools. He has served on high-level bipartite committees involving large government payer and medical professional association representation. In this capacity he has helped develop structured policy, including incentive structures. His clinical work involves attending to institutionalized geriatric patients.
