Sam King, MPH, MBA, CPHIMS, CPHQ, FHIMSS, FHFMA is an accomplished healthcare executive, faculty and consultant with experience in health IT, healthcare finance, analytics, business intelligence, and continuous quality improvement.

He has over 25 years’ extensive background and experience in health plans, hospitals, medical groups, and integrated delivery systems, including in the role of COO, VP of Analytics, Senior Director of Professional Development, and Director of Medical/Healthcare Informatics.

He is an Industry Fellow at the Center for Digital Transformation, the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and a faculty at USC Price School of Public Policy.

Sam serves on HFMA National Advisory Council, served on HFMA National Board of Examiners (2012-2015), as President of HIMSS Southern California Chapter and Chairman of the HIMSS National Chapters Task Force, and on HIMSS Davies Committee on the use of HIT and EHRs. He received HFMA Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver, Muncie Gold, and Founders Medal of Honor Awards.

Sam received the 2012 HIMSS Chapter Leader of the Year Award.
