1)Great questions were asked and discussed during the panel session and audience participation was equally engaging. Can you please tell us which questions were your favorite and why ?

What is data driven medicine and what is the role of AI in it? ” People are very confused about this.

Big data in healthcare and data-driven research in science and medicine are not new concepts. For example, over the years hospitals have accumulated tons of heart, brain and cancer imaging data. Without out that data driving medical practice, we would have not been able to gain advanced knowledge of healthy states, diseases and their most appropriate treatment. What’s happening now is that the pace and amount of diverse data that is being generated is a lot greater than before. But not all of that data is useful.

2)What are the two key takeaways from the event today ?

-Useful data is a medical and business imperative for the success of  AI in Medicine. Big useless data doesn’t help.

-It’s not just about AI technology. It’s more about improving our understanding of genomics, biology, and medicine and asking the right questions.

3)What topics would you like to discuss at future AIMed breakfast briefings ?

-Disease interception and prevention
