“I’m very appreciative of the recognition by AIMed. It’s still very early in the era of AI to transform medicine; there’s so much work to do to actualize its extraordinary potential.”

Eric Topol, AI Champion Clinician 2020

Returning for 2022, the AI Champions Awards will take place on Wednesday January 19 as part of the live AIMed Global Summit in Laguna Beach, CA.

This is all about recognizing some of the great people and organizations that are helping to drive the agenda for artificial intelligence in healthcare. Previous winners include legendary cardiologist Eric Topol, fast.ai founder Jeremy Howard, and Stanford University’s Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI).

Accepting the award on behalf of Stanford AIMI in 2020, Co-director Matt Lungren said:

“It is such an honor to receive this AIMed award for the work of Stanford AIMI center. Since the beginning we’ve believed that building a multidisciplinary collaborative community across Stanford and partners in academics and industry would lead to great things in advancing the field of clinical artificial intelligence.”
