Dr. Haroon Kasim discusses the impact AI has on improving Australian patient healthcare

Dr Haroon Kasim tells us about his journey as a generalist clinician working for decades in a range of sectors in the healthcare industry. His passion for the AIMed movement has been borne from all too frequently seeing a disconnect between the patient experience in primary care compared with the secondary care when out of the system – in the home environment for example. Through tangible examples, he describes the frustration of avoidable admissions, inconsistent pathways of care and issues around care coordination which can and are, in other parts of the world, being solved through the successful development use AI in Medicine.

As an advocate for e-healthcare and improving the patients’ and clinician’ experience he is looking forward to sharing his experiences when speaking at the upcoming 2019 AIMed Australia conference in Sydney on 12th & 13th November.
