Romane Gauriau
Machine Learning Scientist

As a Machine Learning Scientist at the MGH & BWH Center for Clinical Data Science, I am uniquely positioned to translate the power of AI into the healthcare system. At our center, which is a collaboration between Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, I develop specialized AI algorithms working closely with clinicians to identify the most impactful use cases. These algorithms are designed to augment the clinical workflow and reduce the time to patient treatment. I also focus on the design and implementation of tools that streamline model training and enable integration in the clinical workflow. I received my PhD from Telecom ParisTech, where I focused on new methods for organ segmentation. Prior to my current work, I designed and developed CAD algorithms for fluoroscopy and echocardiography as a research scientist at Philips Research Medisys in Paris.
