Dr. Lela Mirtskhulava

Dr. Mirtskhulava currently is a Fulbright Scholar at the department of Computer engineering at San Jose State University, CA. She concurrently holds an associate professor position at the department of Computer Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State university and San Diego State university Georgia. Dr. Mirtskhulava received her Ph.D. in Computers, Complexes, Systems and Networks. She has served in various capacities at several Georgian universities and has 15 years of industry work experience as an ICT Senior Engineer at Ericsson Ltd and Geocell LLC, Georgia. Her research interests include: ANN modeling for stroke diagnosis, medical applications of ANN,  mobile app development, IoT security issues, mathematical modeling and wireless technologies. Dr. Mirtskhulava’s experience in this realm of artificial intelligence is unique. She was the first who developed an artificial intelligence capable of diagnosing stroke patients. Her prototype of an artificial intelligence distinguishes between stroke patients and normal subjects with > 99% accuracy.  Dr. Mirtskhulava has published over 50 scientific papers in the areas of medical applications of ANN, network security, mathematical modeling, mobile app development.

 

Dr. Mirtskhulava was invited to the the University of Cambrige, UK  to conduct  the scientific workshops in 2013. She is the recipient of DAAD Scholarship Certificate in scope of Academic staff exchange program, at Westsaxson University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, Germany in 2016. Dr. Mirtskhulava has participated in Professor Exchange program to San Diego State University. She was a keynote speaker and served as the technical Committee and advisory board member in several international conferences.
