Marco Francone is a Full Professor of Medicine at Humanitas University in Milan, and a clinical radiologist with specific research interest in the field of Cardiovascular imaging.

Over the years, he has presented more than 300 invited lectures and scientific abstracts at most important national and international medical conferences and authored more than 200 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.

Before moving to Humanitas University, Professor Francone spent 20 years in Sapienza University of Rome, from medical school to board certification, PhD and associate professorship.

He has been invited for visiting professorships in Zhengzou (China), Vienna (Austria), and Minsk (Belarus), and served the Italian College of Cardiac Radiology as president, the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology as scientific chairman and the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance as member of the Executive Committee.
