On-Demand: Key trends in surgical AI
July 22, 2020 @ 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM EDT

Abstract
Data science holds the potential to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical workflow, as well as improving patient outcomes in the operating room. Artificial intelligence is already informing risk prediction and decision support, increasingly drawing on live data from electronic health records and monitors. Coupled with developments in robotics and automation, this is an exciting point in the history of surgical practice. There are many barriers to success, however, including the enablement of integrated data management, gaining clinical and organisational buy-in, and bridging the gap between clinicians and data scientists to ensure that AI-powered solutions respond to real clinical needs. In this exclusive webinar, our expert panel discuss the key trends in surgical AI, drawing on their direct experience to highlight the opportunities and challenges in implementing artificial intelligence in the OR.Speakers
