Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence solutions is helping healthcare organizations to close gaps in patient care. New predictive algorithms are offering major advancements in cardiovascular patient management, enabling physicians to identify and prioritize the most at-risk patients.

Led by Dr. Francisco Lopez-Jimenez, Co-chair of the ACC’s Advanced Healthcare and Analytics Group and Chair of the Division of Preventive Cardiology at Mayo Clinic, the session will feature:

  • Dr. Rahul Sharma, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and Director of Structural Interventions at Stanford Health Care, will present on predictive algorithms to help physicians identify undiagnosed aortic stenosis
  • Dr. Soundos Moualla, Interventional Cardiologist at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, will cover advanced technologies to help physicians manage the care of patients with severe mitral regurgitation
  • Dr. Evelio Rodriguez, Co-Director of Saint Thomas Heart Institute, Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Medical Director of the Research Institute at Saint Thomas Heart, will speak about AI algorithms that predict the progression of severe aortic stenosis
