Eric Vu graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Bioengineering at Rice University. Subsequently, he completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, followed by Anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine.  He then completed fellowships in Pediatric Anesthesiology, Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiology, and Pediatric Anesthesiology Research.  He obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Baylor College of Medicine with a focus on study design, biostatistics, and biomedical informatics. Today, Eric is a pediatric cardiovascular anesthesiologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital / Northwestern University.  He is board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology.  In addition to taking care of children with congenital heart disease in the operating room, Eric pursues research in the area of analytics in physiological waveform analysis and has been supported with grants from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER), the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS), and the NIH (National Institutes of Health) / NHLBI (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute) Loan Repayment Program.
