James Hury is the Deputy Director and Chief Innovation Officer for the Translational Research Institute for Space Health. In this role, James executes the vision of TRISH leadership in sourcing and seeding the most exciting emerging health technologies for NASA’s deep space exploration.  James heads the Industry program that funds emerging health technology startups for maturation and validation.  Prior to joining TRISH, James led innovation for the Texas Children’s Health System.  In this capacity James defined, protected, and supported the reduction to practice of new health technologies and invested in emerging technologies to support the health for pediatric and maternal care. James gained his foundation for healthcare management from the Jones School of Management at Rice University MBA program and teaches Healthcare Ventures eLab at the Jones School.
