Mark serves as the Chief Research Information Officer (CRIO) at Children’s Mercy and leads their data science initiatives. His current research is focused on using EHR data for digital phenotyping and comparing clinical behaviors at more than 600 non-affiliated sites in the U.S. Before joining Children’s Mercy, he served as the Vice President of Research and Genomics at Cerner, where he worked for 16 years in a variety of roles. He is an inventor on 20 issued US and international patents. He is a Professor in the departments of Pediatrics and Biomedical and Health Informatics at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
