Matthieu Komoroski is a practicing clinician, holding full board certification in anaesthesia and critical care in both France and the UK. He holds a PhD in Medicine and Bioengineering from Imperial College London, was previously a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an affiliate of Harvard University where he taught reinforcement learning in healthcare.

His research brings together his expertise in machine learning and critical care to generate new medical evidence and build decision support systems, with a particular interest in sepsis. His work on reinforcement learning applied to sepsis resuscitation was awarded the first prize of Research and Innovation by the British Royal Society of Medicine and was published in Nature Medicine.
