Sonia Gupta

Dr. Sonia Gupta is a fellowship trained Abdominal Imager who is the Director of Ultrasound Services at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an Instructor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. She subspecializes in obstetric ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, MRI, and CT as well as image guided procedures.

Dr. Gupta consults for various AI companies including Google, IBM Watson Health, and Koios.  Dr. Gupta is the Medical Director of North America for Qure.ai. Dr. Gupta is passionate about utilizing the power of social media and New Power methods to advocate for patients and radiologists. She speaks frequently on the topic of incorporating New Power methods into AI development and healthcare leadership. Dr. Gupta serves on the Guerbet AI Advisory Board and the Applied Radiology Editorial Board Medical Industry Section. 

Dr. Gupta loves teaching residents and fellows who are going to be the next generation of radiologists. In her faculty role and as a leader in the American College of Radiology she is a mentor and sponsor of women in radiology. She is the co-chair of the SheRads Women’s Radiology Group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Gupta is the past Chair of the ACR Young Professionals Section and is a councilor for the ACR state chapter of Massachusetts.
