Umar Naeem Ahmad is an Anaesthetic trainee, Global Health physician, researcher and co-founder of Abtrace. He has previously worked in international health policy, algorithmic approaches to fluid responsiveness and as a clinician and manager in humanitarian settings ranging from the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone to post conflict recovery in Timor-Leste.

Abtrace was founded to respond to the growing and imminent threat of antimicrobial resistance. A European collaboration based in Portugal and the UK, we are building an artificial intelligence solution that understands, monitors and improves can improve the use of antibiotics for each prescription and every patient.
