Melek is a fellow at the Neuro-Epidemiology and Ageing Research Unit at Imperial College. Melek is a physician, biostatistician, and public health professional with expertise in clinical informatics and global health innovation. His research integrates clinical informatics, clinical computing and data modelling. Dr Melek is also a visiting research fellow at Centre for Health Economics and Policy Innovation at Imperial Business School; where he is the instructor of the course Health Informatics and Management for the MSc in International Health Management and Intercalated BSc. He is also a member of the centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering at Imperial College and focuses on applying Distributed Ledger Technologies in Healthcare and Life Sciences.
