Sabry S. Ayad, MD, MBA, is senior Anesthesiologist, Director of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and of Perioperative Services, and Medical Director of Obstetric anesthesia, Pain Management at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also serves Director of Pre-Admission Testing and Vice Chief of Staff. Additionally, he is Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens. Dr. Ayad received his medical degree from the Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt, where he also completed a residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. He subsequently completed an internship and a residency and fellowship in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic before receiving his Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University. Dr. Ayad is board-certified in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Ayad is President of the Cleveland Society of Anesthesiologists and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the International Anesthesia Research Society.
He has many publications to his credit and is the principal investigator of multiple national and international anesthesiology research trials.
